Speed Limit Changing FRIDAY on Washington Avenue in Albany

Don't say they didn't warn you because here it is. The speed limit is officially changing on Washington Avenue this Friday.

Police say between Washington Avenue and Jermaine Street and I-90 Exit 2, a very highly trafficked area will reduce its speed limit from 45mph to 30mph.

The section currently has speed limit signs and message boards with the upcoming change to alert drivers leading up to the day.

You can be sure that officers will be patrolling the area for safety purposes in the upcoming weeks to make sure the new speed limit is being followed. So, drivers beware!
