Soccer Tourney to Benefit Batchler Family

Twins Abby and Chloe and one of their older brothers, 19-year-old Jack Batchler were in the back seat during a wrong way crash on I-88 a couple of weeks ago. All three of them were taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.  Their oldest son, Jonathan, was not in the car, but both of their parents were killed in the accident.

Now friends of the twins are doing what they can to help,  They are planning a soccer tournament to benefit the family.

The Batchler Family 3v3 Tournament will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on February. 20 at Afrims in Latham.

Kids ages eight to 16 can sign up in teams of three to five players and expect to play five 12-minute games.

Pre-registration is required, and they are expecting a pretty big turn out.
