A perfect find for "Throwback Thursday!"

It was November of the 1948-49 Siena Saints college basketball season and it was in full swing. The college itself was just a baby in the Capital Region and has grown to bring us over 70 years of college basketball fun to experience.

I came across a program for the November 18th, 1948 game against Niagara University. Man, have the times changed. Travel back to a time before color television, a time when NASCAR was brand new, the bikini was only just gaining popularity and gas was only 16 cents per gallon.

Check out those uniforms!

Looks like Siena took the 'W' for their game against Niagara!

Ads back in the day couldn't be all that creative or colorful like we're used to, but how about Danker Flowers of Albany, which is still in existence today!
