With the weather becoming more "Spring-like" this weekend, more and more activity will be heading outside to enjoy the warmer temperatures. If you like to take in the outdoors with your family at a New York State park, you may want to show your support by helping out with 'I Love My Park Day' coming next Saturday, May 4.

New Yorkers are being invited to participate in this voluntary initiative to help clean up and spruce up their favorite State park or historic site.

Sponsored jointly by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and Parks & Trails New York, ‘I Love My Park Day’ is a statewide event to improve and enhance New York’s parks and historic sites as well as bring visibility to the entire park system and its needs. There are several parks in the Albany area participating.

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation oversees the State's parks and historic sites, which are visited by 60 million people annually.
