The first driverless car...wait, is driverless a word? The first self-driving car (gosh, that doesn't sound right, either) is being tested right here in the Capital Region!

I used an exclamation point to show excitement, but in reality it's a little scary, right? Or is it just me? I mean, we see these things in the movies and on television but we don't really expect them to become a thing within our lifetime. Someday, but not today...right?

Well, get ready because it's today. Audi is currently testing out their self-driving cars locally in a year-long pilot program after signing a deal with Governor Cuomo. The one thing we can rest our worries about is that yes, there will be a driver in the driver seat while testing this model out to make sure it does what it's supposed to.

I know, I know. The goal here is to have less accidents and a safer driving experience but I'm a firm believer in if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Even the Titanic sunk.
