Sean’s Top 5 NASCAR Championship Chase Picks

The NASCAR Championship Chase is on and I have a top 5 list of drivers who I think can win it!Let’s get right to it!

5. Kevin Harvick: His chase seed happens to be 5th as well. Harvick is our reigning champion, so he has that drive for 2 in a row. He wins when he needs to and he drives hard every week. This season he has won at Las Vegas and Phoenix, and has 18 top five finishes. WOW! Never count him out!

4. Dale Earnhardt Jr.: With the 6 place seed, Earnhardt has had a great season that has been exciting to watch. He has emotional fans behind him and this season his desire to win shows more than in the past. This season he has won at Talladega and Daytona and has 12 top five finishes. Focusing on his drive to win this season, he’s in my top 5.

3. Matt Kenseth: Kenseth takes the third seed in the Chase and my 3rd slot too, but has 4 wins this season. He has been dominating the last couple of races which could prove he’s at his best at the right time of the year! This season, he has won at Bristol, Pocono Raceway, Michigan and Richmond and has10 top five finishes. I think he’s ready and will give everyone a run for the money.

2. Jimmie Johnson:  With the number 1 seed in the Chase, I put Jimmie at #2. You will see why in a second! Jimmie has 4 wins this season and I believe has been spending the last races to this point ironing out kinks and getting ready to take The Chase by storm! This season he has won at Atlanta, Texas, Kansas and Dover. A championship win would give him 7 Championships and tie career titles with Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty. I don’t count him out at all!!

1. Kyle Busch: I know, crazy pick, right? Well, who would have thought he would even be racing let alone in The Chase after breaking both legs in February at the Daytona 500? What a comeback. Since his return, he won 4 out of 5 races! I mean come on, the desire to win for this guy gest him my #1 slot! He's never afraid on the track and drives to win each week.  What a story this is going to be if he wins!
