I was excited to see American Idol's Scotty McCreery on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and then it happened!

I often wondered if the musical acts were all lip synced on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  After all, the show is held outdoors and I'm sure the production of the show has got to be quite difficult.  I got the answer to my question when Scotty McCreery was introduced to sing his new single 'The Trouble With Girls.' As a huge fan of the Idol Country star, I sat in shock as the song started, but Scotty's lips were not moving.  Like a true professional, he did the only thing he could do, just start moving his lips to the next line of the song.

I'm sure he wasn't the only musical act to lip sync on the show, so I hope the critics won't be too hard on this young man who's really a great role model and very talented singer.

Do you think singers should always sing live or do you think it's alright to lip sync on special occasions?
