Last night was a blast at the Times Union Center as Keith Urban brought his "Get Closer" tour to the arena. It was a big party from start to finish. Both Keith and opening act Jake Owen had folks on their feet from the moment they both hit the stage. It was great to see that the arena was packed when Jake hit the stage. That doesn't happen often with an opening act.

I was lucky enough to get meet and greets with Jake Owen before the show. I must say it was the best meet and greet experience I have ever witnessed. Most of the time the tour manager starts telling you all the rules and laying down the law. "One Picture, One autograph" is usually the rule. Then when you meet the artist it's a quick nice to meet you, snap a picture and you are on you're way. This was nothing like that. The two guys handling the Meet and Greet were laid back and joking with fans as was Jake. He took time to chat a bit with everyone. He was truly appreciative of everyone coming to see him. I told him I worked for WGNA and he told me thank you so much for playing the music or he wouldn't be able to do what he loves. I already was a fan of Jake Owen, but now even more. The guy is a class act. He knows that it's the fans that put him where he is now. More Artists need to be like him!

I hope everybody enjoyed the show last night, from the amount of people I saw stick around till the end, I'm sure you did.
