Schenectady Native & Author Andrew McKenna To Speak On Drug Dangers At Rensselaer High School
The Rensselaer Area Drug Awareness Reality Coalition will host a forum Tuesday on the dangers of heroin in our area.
The forum, featuring Andrew McKenna, will focus on how heroin effects students in our area. McKenna, a Schenectady native, is an acclaimed author on opioid drug abuse and how it can destroy one's life. McKenna will speak about his own life experiences dealing with heroin.
Students and community members are invited to attend the forums which will take place at the Rensselaer High School Auditorium. There will be two forums today, the first forum will run from 1:15 p.m.- 2:15 p.m. and the second will take place at 6:30 p.m. ending at 7:30 p.m.
As drug use rises, we can all benefit from information on how to combat the issue. This forum can hopefully help community members become more informed on the epidemic. Students can come to listen to McKenna and hopefully find the tools they need to help themselves or others.
