No, it's not the Ice Bucket Challenge.  This is something different, although it too is for a great cause.

According to the Times Union.com, This is called Schenectady Splash Down, and its to benefit the international emergency medical program.

Have you ever played "Capture the Flag?" This is kind of like that, but with water balloons.

The whole idea was conceived by city high school kids, because they wanted to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders.

When: 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday

Where: Schenectady High School's Upper Field.

There are all kinds of events planned, including a band, face painting, food and the talented kids in the Schenectady High School Jazz Band will perform too.

If you'd like more info, you can go to this website.

I don't know about you, but I seem to be hearing more and more about kids doing great things like this, so let's not be so quick to label all of them as self-absorbed, selfie taking brats, OK?   (Let me step off of this soap box now)
