This week with American Senior Magazine we honor Mary, a local hero in Whitehall!

Hard working. Compassionate. Dedicated. Loves people. They are just a few of the superlatives Danielle Battease used to describe her grandmother Mary Simonson when she nominated her for our Salute to Seniors. And in the town of Whitehall, you will not find anyone more active when it comes to helping those in the community. Mary is not only active in her church, but she has run the local Senior shut in program, makes and delivers gift baskets to Senior shut-ins, and she recently teamed up with her husband Jim to open Ma's Soup kitchen which feeds 80 to 100 people every week in Whitehall! Mary makes it a priority to volunteer and helps those in need. That is what makes her an amazing Senior. Mary, we salute you and appreciate all you have done for the folks in Whitehall.

As our featured senior this week, Mary will be honored on the air and will receive a $50 gift card to a local mall and a one-year subscription to American Senior Magazine.

Does Mary's story make you think of a Senior we should be honoring? Fill out the form below to nominate them – we want to hear there story!
