Rescued Hurricane Harvey dogs have made their way from Texas to the Capital Region and are looking for a little TLC and a brand new 518 home to call their own. Twenty-three dogs arrived at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society late Thursday night to make room for pets belonging to families who had to evacuate according to News Channel 13

This was the message posted to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society's website:
Our animal response team traveled to Rhode Island on Thursday, September 7 to meet a plane full of animals from the Houston area. Twenty-three dogs of various ages, size and breed are now safe in our care and we have begun the process of getting to know their personalities and medical needs. It's important to note that all of these animals were already in need of homes; they are not pets with displaced owners.
