According to a story in the Times Union, while officers were moving the group out of the area on foot, someone threw a weight bench clamp through the rear window of one of the police cars.

While the Albany police officers were keeping an eye on the unruly group, someone threw a bottle at another police car’s hood, and then another bottle at the police as they got out of their car. The group split up into several directions when the officers got closer to them.

The only person that got arrested was a 20-year-old man. Davon Saunders allegedly had a knife in his back pocket. He was charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon. This is one of those times that the police definitely had their hands full, but it could have ended up a lot worse.
