Andy Gibson is currently moving up the charts with his big hit "Wanna Make You Love Me" and will be in town on Monday Night, April 23rd at the GE Theatre in Proctors for the Rising Stars Concert Series.

Andy started his career writing songs for others, he already has a #1 hit on his hands with Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson's smash "Don't You Wanna Stay".

This is a very common trend in Nashville as many acts work their way to the top. Phil Vassar had a number of his songs recorded by others before he got his recording contract such as Tim McGraw's "For A Little While", Collin Raye's "Little Red Rodeo and two big #1's for Jo Dee Messina, "Bye Bye" and "I'm Alright".

Lee Brice just celebrated his first #1 song with "A Woman Like You" but had his first taste of success as a songwriter's writing Garth Brooks' "More Than A Memory"

Before Jamey Johnson and Randy Houser had their first hit singles "The Dollar" and "Anything Goes", they co-wrote a hit song for Trace Adkins you may have heard of called "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk.

Finally, Jerrod Niemann helped Garth Brooks with a big hit a few years back as he was one of the writers of the Chris Ledoux tribute "Good Ride Cowboy".

The list goes on and on of the many songwriters turned country stars in the business. Andy Gibson looks to have a very bright future and you can see him in a great intimate setting at the GE Theatre in Proctors. Tickets are just $17 at Proctors.org or Charge By Phone at 346-6204.
