Richie To Jam With the Lost Cantina Band At Revolution Hall In Troy

Friday night is going to be a blast. I'm getting a chance to play keyboards with a really great local band. Can't wait to get out there, and it's for a great cause - to kick off Countryfest 2012 very early.

Jamming with a band is a great experience. I'm so used to being alone with my keyboard and drum machine. That takes a certain skill, but playing with others takes a lot more. You have to be able to read the others' minds. You have to know when to come in and when not to step on others. It's a good wake-up call for a musician to just plug in and start following along with others that you aren't used to. It's a humbling experience in this case because these guys are good - really good!

Practice jam with Lost Cantina Band

There are some great local bands in the area. Rising to the cream of the crop is the Lost Cantina Band, and they asked me to join them this Friday nite at Revolution Hall on 425 River Street in Troy. The party starts at 8PM. Doors open at 7PM We want to kick off the 2012 Countryfest season in a big way. I know it's a bit early ,but it's never too early to party!
