New York State Police have arrested a former Albany police officer.  Retired D.A.R.E. officer Paul D. Pierce, of East Greenbush, is charged with sodomizing a teenage boy.  The alleged incidents took place at a home in Albany, a camp in Chestertown and at the ex-officer's East Greenbush home.  Pierce once worked in city schools.  He was arraigned Thursday "on charges of committing a third-degree criminal sex act, the legal term sodomy, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdeamnor," according to the Times Union.  Meanwhile, authorities have stated that Pierce could face stronger charges.

The 58-year old supposedly had sexual conduct with the boy between June of 2009 and August of 2011.  State Police urge parents of children who may have had contact with Pierce to talk to them because there may be more victims.  If you believe your child may have been a victim as well, please call Troop G Headquarters at 518-783-3211.
