Rensselaer Fire Department, D shift responded to the call removing the body from the river with the assistance of the Albany Fire Department and their new Fire Rescue Boat.  Rensselaer Police say there is no evidence to suggest foul play, however an autopsy will be performed.

Sansone lived just blocks away from the port.

There were a few tragic events this past weekend that should serve as a reminders to us all, that we need to be careful as the weather gets nicer.  Pools, lakes, boats or camping…make sure you take all the necessary precautions to ensure a safe trip.  Don't do water activities alone, you never know what can happen.  It can only help to have have someone there with you!  Not everything that happens can be prevented, but it’s better to be prepared.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Sansone Family.
