Tomorrow there will be several events in the Capital Region to mark 9/11/01.

It's hard to believe 15 years have passed since September 11th, 2001. When I reflect on everything that happened that day, it seems like it was yesterday. I think that is because of the images we saw that day, and the stories we have heard in the days, weeks, months and years that have followed. Most are sad, some are happy, some triumphant - but they are all powerful and will leave an indelible mark on those who lived that day for the rest of their lives.

So, as you remember and honor the victims and heroes from that day remember in the way you feel is appropriate. If you feel like joining others in doing so, there are several events in the area where you can join others:

  • Albany- State Musem,  Tours of "The World Trade Center: Rescue, Recovery, Response" 1 and 3pm
  • Colonie -  Freedom Walk, The Crossings of Colonie, Albany Shaker Road 5:30-m
  • Rotterdam - Remembering Septemner 11th at ViaPort 11am - 6pm
  • Saratoga Springs - 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, High Rock Park 8:30-9:30am
