Reba’s Christmas Tradition, Preparing For New TV Show

On Christmas Day, Reba McEntire and family celebrated with the annual tradition of having a birthday cake for Jesus.  After singing "Happy Birthday," the family enjoyed a cake prepared by Gloria Blackstock, the mother of Reba's husband, Narvel.

Taste of Country is reporting that after Reba and her family enjoy a nice holiday together, she'll hit the road and return to acting. Reba, the one-time star of her own self-titled sitcom, will shoot a pilot in April for a new ABC show called 'Malibu Country.'  Now, if things go well, Reba will begin shooting the television show in August.  In addition to starring in the series, the Country Music Hall of Famer will also serve as executive producer.

In 'Malibu Country,' the 'Turn On The Radio' singer will play the role of a divorced mother of three who is trying to reignite her singing career after moving from Nashville to Malibu.
