Country Music artists and fans have big hearts, especially when it come to helping their own.

Oklahoma natives Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton played two sold out shows this past Wednesday and Thursday to help their fellow Okies after the devastating tornadoes that hit in Atoka County.

One show was originally scheduled, but after selling the first show out in less than two hours a second show was added. After all was said and done, Reba and Blake helped raise $500,000.

Blake Shelton talked about why he felt the need for these shows:

"Oklahoma defines who I am and seeing the effects this disaster has had on my neighbors, I knew I had to do something.Reba and I have a lot of love for this state and we wanted to do what we can to help. This place is my home and these people are family to us."

Lots more needs to be done and I know our WGNA listeners have big hearts so if you would like to donate, text 'OKGIVE' to 27722 in order to make a one-time $10 donation,
