2006- Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are married at Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel in Sydney, Australia. He sings 'Making Memories Of Us' at the service.

 1987- Reba McEntire files for divorce from Charlie Battles, four days after their 11th anniversary and one year after she is named the CMA's Entertainer of the Year. 

1986- Jenifer Strait, the 13-year-old daughter of George Strait, is killed in an auto accident.  The car, driven by a teenage friend, rolls over during a left turn in San Marcos, Texas.

1982- The Statler Brothers announce that Crohn's disease has forced the retirement of Lew DeWitt.  Jimmy Fortune replaces him, the group's first lineup change in 18 years.  Lew Dewitt penned the Statler's break through Grammy winning hit 'Flowers On The Wall.'
