Reba McEntire, 12 time ACM winner, has asked Blake Shelton to help her co-host the ACM Awards on Sunday, April 3 on CBS.

This is a big moment for Blake Shelton, who won his first ACM award for "Hillbilly Bone" in the vocal event category last year.  Here's what Blake told the Academy of Country Music.

"I am humbled that Reba invited me to co-host the ACM Awards with her. She is not only a mentor to me but a true friend. She continually supports other artists, which is a testament really to her beauty and talent.  You will definitely have to tune-in and check it out. With the two of us together on live TV, you never know what we might say!"

If you're wondering how the partnership came about, the ACM says it all had to do with how Blake and Reba interacted last year when presenting an award together.  ACM CEO, Bob Romeo says:

"Last year Reba and Blake read our nominations and they were just magic together, incredibly funny, when Reba suggested inviting Blake to join her, the Academy could not have been more pleased - we know the viewers will be blown away by their comic chemistry."

By the way, you can be a part of the show by voting for the best new artist of the year at www.VoteACM.com.
