A 21-year-old Clifton Park man will probably think twice if he decides to attempt to steal a woman’s purse after what happened when he allegedly tried to steal one on Wednesday.

A woman had her purse in a shopping cart at the Halfmoon Lowes. She walked a short distance from the cart when the man walked up to her cart and took her purse. Because she wasn’t far from the cart, she noticed that her purse wasn’t in the cart anymore. She then saw the suspect running with the purse. The victim started to yell “he has my purse.”

An off-duty New York State Trooper happened to also be in the store, and saw the suspect run past him, with purse in hand. The trooper then took matters into his own hands, grabbed the suspect and held him until troopers and officers from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department  that were on-duty got to the store.

The suspect is Adam Concepcion. According to the story from News 10 ABC, he was remanded to the Saratoga County Jail after his arraignment in Clifton Park Town Court, and at a future date, will be going to Halfmoon Town Court.
