As of right now, details seem to a bit sketchy in terms of the health of one of professional wrestling's all time greats Ric Flair, but, sadly early reports don't look particularly good.   Those close to him have ask for "prayers" adding that there is "a long road ahead of him" and all of us here at WGNA and Capital Regions wrestling fans alike wish the 68 year old a speedy recovery!

According to TMZ.com, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is in a medically induced coma and is preparing for surgery.

Melinda Morris Zanoni, CEO of Legacy Talent and Entertainment, which represents Flair, tweeted that the procedure was not heart-related.

Known for his flamboyant outfits and “Woooo!” catchphrase, Flair made his professional debut in 1972 and was inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame in 2008.  In the 1992 WWF Royal Rumble (held at the Knickerbocker Arena in Albany) Flair outlasted 29 entrants to win the "vacated" WWF World Heavyweight Championship.
