Popular Public Pool Closing Next Week

We are fortunate to have a public pool in the city I live in, but there are only a few towns and cities that do have a public pool. Now it seems that one of the most popular pools will be shut down next week. In an effort to renovate the pool and it's amenities, the Peerless Pool in Saratoga Spa State Park will close three weeks early. According to News 10, a spokesperson said that the pool will close on August 14th so that they can get a jump start on renovation of the locker rooms, restrooms and that the snack bar can be updated. They want to make sure they can finish these projects by the winter.

It is estimated that over 1,000 people utilize the Peerless Pool along with their families. The pool usually closes on Labor Day. State Park officials have scheduled a news conference Tuesday to give more details.
