Only one country man can win big at the 2016 CMA Awards, and with this year's crop of Male Vocalist of the Year nominees, it's going to be a tight race. Who do you think will take home the trophy?

Chris Stapleton leads the pack of male nominees this year with six nods, including Musical Event of the Year and the coveted Entertainer of the Year. But the Traveller artist better watch his back because Keith Urban is up in those two categories and for Male Vocalist of the Year as well. Stapleton turned a classic children's lullaby into a bona fide Americana song with his wife, Morgane, while Urban tapped county queen Carrie Underwood to shine on "The Fighter." Stapleton released a music video highlighting mental illness in the most beautiful and heartbreaking way, while Urban released an album that made its mark on the charts. With so many milestones reached in 2016, it makes us wish both country crooners could win!

But Stapleton and Urban aren't the only two male country artists who've had a big year. With the massive success of Mr. Misunderstood, Eric Church has proved (once again!) that you don't have to be understood to be a powerful force in country music. The country rebel recently played two sold-out shows at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheater, pays tribute to his heroes on "Record Year" and has announced a 2017 solo tour that may just put him on the nominee list for next year, too.

Rounding out the list of Male Vocalist of the Year nominees are two heavy hitters: Tim McGraw and Dierks Bentley. McGraw currently has the CMT Music Awards Music Video of the Year for "Humble and Kind," which has blown up the charts and encouraged millions of people to be kind to one another in a world that seems chaotically broken at the moment. In the same heartfelt vein, Bentley teamed up with Elle King for "Different for Girls," a gentle reminder that there's always two sides to a breakup. The two are also going head-to-head in the category of Music Video of the Year, McGraw for his aforementioned "Humble and Kind" and Bentley for his playful beach romp, "Somewhere on a Beach."
