Plans For A Parking Garage For Saratoga City Center

Driving through Saratoga Springs, especially during the summer or when there’s an event going on, can be a challenge.

Looking for parking can be even more of challenge. The Saratoga Springs City Center wants to make a change, at least for parking. Plans have been brought to light to build a parking garage.

In the story from WNYT, the City Center wants to build a four story garage with 500 parking spots, complete with easy access for people to walk right into the City Center from the garage. The garage would be built between Maple Avenue and High Rock Avenue.

Some people are not happy with this idea. One business owner is scared that the new garage will actually dwarf her building, because it will be only about 20 feet from restaurant, Mouzon House. According to the president of the City Center, Mark Baker, he’s “pledging to mitigate as many impacts as possible”.
