Piercing And Tattooing Of Pets Prohibited In N.Y.S

A new bill has signed by New York State Governor Mario Cuomo against piercing and tattooing pets.

The governor claims that “this is animal abuse, plain and simple.” There will be some limited circumstances.

What this bill will do will prohibit pet owners from getting their cats, dogs and all other pets tattooed or pierced unnecessarily for cosmetic purposes.

According to the story on News 10 ABC, if this law is violated, there will be possible criminal penalties.
