I would think that most of us would love to win the lottery or have a phone call that says we won some contest for a lot of money! We all have that to good to be true dream. Locally, there is a scam preying on folks who have those dreams.

According to YNN,  The Schenectady Police Department are on the lookout for suspects in a phone scam. The suspects claim to be from Publisher's Clearing House and tell their victims they have won a huge jackpot. They then tell them to pay a one time fee of $320 in order to collect their winnings. It's like anyone who calls you and wants your credit card information, I am not paying money to get money. It doesn't work like that.

If you have  received one of these phone calls and/or paid funds, you are  asked to contact the Schenectady Police Department at 382-5200.

It always sickens me that after a major incident like we just had that some people would do something this. I hope they get what's coming to them!
