The 39th Annual People's Choice Awards will be held tonight on CBS.  You can catch the awards beginning at 9pm and going until 11pm.  Blake Shelton is up for Favorite Male Artist, Taylor Swift nominated for Favorite Female Artist as well as Favorite Tour Headliner, and Lady Antebellum’s “Own the Night” could be this year’s Favorite Album of the Year. 

Blake Shelton will be busy with another award show after tonight’s awards.  Blake and Reba McEntire have been asked to host the ACM Awards on April 1st again this year.  This will be the duo’s second year hosting at this year’s “47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.

Luke Bryan’s latest single, “I Don’t Want This Night to End” has just been certified Gold.  In case you didn’t realize, a song needs more than 500,000 downloads to reach gold status.  In just this past week alone, Luke’s single had 128,000 downloads deeming it the best week of his career.  He of course will busy touring with Jason Aldean starting next week.

Huge recognition should also go out to Scotty McCreeryand Jerrod Niemann.  Scotty’s album, “Clear As Day” has gone platinum.  Scotty’s debut album sold 197,000 copies in its first week and even debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Charts.  Jerrod Niemann’s single “Lover, Lover” off his Judge Jerrod & The Hung Jury album, just got RIAA-certified platinum.  He begins touring with Miranda Lambert tomorrow in Rockford, IL.
