I am an absolute pecan pie loving freak!

Having spent a portion of my childhood in the deep south I brought a lot of the food craving up north with me when the family moved back in the late 1970's.

I love collard greens, black eyed peas and cornbread too. I must say though that I miss real southern Pecan pie the most. This is the stuff that Thanksgiving dessert dreams are made of. Here's a really good recipe if you want to tray and whip one up yourself this holiday season.

Speaking of recipes make sure you get your tickets to the WGNA Taste of Home Cooking School with the pros from the world famous Taste of Home magazine. It's on November 16th at Crowne Plaza Albany and doors open at 4:30pm. The cooking starts live at 6pm. Tickets are just $15 and on sale now at all Capital Area Price Chopper Supermarkets.
