Former New York Governor George Pataki says he is considering a run for the White House.  The 66-year old politician stated not only is President Obama hesitating and lacking a serious plan for the national debt, but the field of Republicans is also pretty thin. 

The Republican candidates also all seem to be considerably conservative.  Pataki believes his own moderate views could attract independent voters in certain states, such as New Hampshire.  Pataki served as the Governor of New York for three terms from 1994 to 2006.

Other rumored Republican candiates include former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.  There is still no clear cut frontrunner for the Republican nomination.  Therefore, Pataki, Giuliani or Romney, still have time to make a serious commitment to the race for president.
