It’s been one full week at our new home as the GNA Morning Rush and while it’s been a whirlwind, I have had a few moments to reflect on the answer to the question the I’ve been getting most; Can you adjust to the country format after being on a pop station for so long?  The answer is a resounding "YES"  And here’s why…

I love and feed off of passion.  And GNA listeners are some passionate people. I could feel it when I talked to people about their country concert experiences; whether it be Luke Bryan at SPAC, Garth at the TU, or one of the numerous Country Fest shows that brought people from all over the Northeast to the Capital Region!  In a “here today, gone tomorrow” world of music, it’s refreshing to know that the connection between listeners and their favorite country music stars is real, palpable, and loyal!

I don’t claim to know everything there is about you, the GNA listener, but I’m willing to learn as much as I can in as short amount of time as I can and I’ll learn more in a hurry.  Concert season is HERE!

I’m excited for Taste of Country, I'm\m pumped to experience my first Country Fest and I can’t wait to be a part of the Secret Stars series that WGNA treats you guys to!

I also recognize the passion you guys have for the radio station and it’s hosts as well.  In my full first week on the air, we were fortunate to have some warm and welcoming phone calls as well as some kind well wishes from listeners out on the streets!

I’ve also seen and read some of the negative comments about our arrival as the new morning show hosts; and that’s totally understandable, I get it. I’m a huge sports fan and I love my Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees, but I’m as harsh a critic on their players, coaching staff and management as anyone!  But come Sunday, or when that first pitch is thrown, that’s MY team and I root for them till I’m blue in the face.

That’s the mentality of the GNA listener.  You care about the product (the music) and the players (the hosts) and you’re PASSIONATE about the team.  That’s the kind of radio station I'm excited to be a part of and that’s the kind of start to my next chapter at WGNA I was hoping for.  It’s been one awesome week!
