The New York Times may force itself to go the way of the dinosaur. Extinct.

If you need proof, the NY Timesjust raised the price of their daily paper in NY City to $2.50. That's not because it is a product that city residents can't live without. Its just the opposite. The NY Times circulation and subscription rates are almost non-existent these days due the advent of 24 news channels and millions of online news sources that people can access for free.

The NY Times though still has a budget to hit, and they decided to charge the few people that still buy their newspaper another 50 cents to make up for the millions of people that no longer buy it. That's logic.

I have a feeling that the next place we see the NY Times is in bankruptcy court. Sad but true. As long as they keep printing the Racing Form for Saratoga I'll be fine. LOL!
