I have had a whole life hoping I would see a moose for no other reason as to just say I have. Maybe the Adirondacks are a good place to go.

Then again maybe they are not. I heard the number of moose and it shocked me. Now, this is only in one region, so it seems the animal is far from extinct but only 400 moose call the Adirondacks (a huge area) home. That seems so staggering to think such a small number of moose call that region of New York home seeing as at least from a non-expert point of view it seems like a very suitable area for them.

The New York Department of Environmental Conservation has just recently begun its third winter aerial survey according to Times Union. With the DEC involved that indicates an issue to me.

Now on a far less serious issue, is the plural for moose, moose?
