Not Feeling the ‘American Idol’ Results

I’m not afraid to admit that I was not happy last night with the results of “American Idol” this season.  I did like Scotty McCreery early on in the competition, but in the last few weeks of performances, he just didn’t sing as in tune as he did at his original audition.

I’m not going to go on and on (once again) as to why I think Lauren Alaina.  You can look back on my favortism (if that’s what you want to call it) towards Lauren, in previous blogs.  However, I will say after looking back at Scotty’s audition video, if he had sang that well in the final week of competition, I would have voted for him.  However, I think he lacked the finished technique that Lauren possesses.  That’s all I’m going to say.

So, in tribute of Scotty winning last night on season 12 of “American Idol,” here is his original audition tape from when he first saw his dream and tried out for the show.  His souther boy charm definitely won the judges’ hearts over at his audition and obviously, after all the weeks of performances, it’s apparent he won America’s hearts, too.

To be perfectly honest though, the real reason I want you to check out the video is because of what Steven Tyler (and Jennifer Lopez) say(s) at the end.  Hysterical!
