No Plans for Exit 3 of the Northway [GALLERY]

I did a blog wondering why there is no exit 3 of the Northway. There were plans to build one, but now we know there won’t be. According to a story from the Times Union, exit 3 will be scrapped, but there could be major changes to exit 4. Part of the change would include going through where the Hess station currently is, and drivers would not even go to Wolf Road.Although drivers heading to Albany International Airport would be exiting next to the Desmond Hotel.

Southbound on the Northway at exit 4 would also be rerouted and won’t be exiting next to the Desmond Hotel, the way it is currently. So by the sounds of it, there really may never be an exit 3 of the Northway. What do you think about the rerouting exit 4?
