The City of Albany has put the "kabosh" to dance parties at the Washington Avenue Armory after a recent one got way out of control.Last Thursday about 2,000 party goers converged on the Washington Avenue Armory for a "foam party" that got out of control. Attendees became combative with police when they showed up to disperse the crowd.

Three officers were injured in the melee which many described as a riot, and seven arrests were made. For those not familiar with the term foam party, it is a party in which people dance on a floor covered in foam and bubbles that are produced by a machine. In 2008 three people were electrocuted at a foam party held in Turkey.
