Sad news as former New York Mets Catcher and Baseball Hall Of Famer Gary Carter announced today that doctors found four "very small" brain tumors after an MRI on Friday.

Carter said in a release issued by the New York Mets and baseball’s Hall of Fame that he will be examined again on Thursday at Duke Medical Center. He also asked for privacy as his family learns more about his medical condition.

Carter spent 19 years in the Major Leagues playing most of his years with the Montreal Expos. However he won his only World Series Championship with the New York Mets. Carter will be forever remembered by Mets fans and anti Red Sox fans like myself as the man who started the now legendary two out rally in the tenth inning of game six against the Boston Red Sox, this was of course the legendary "Bill Buckner" game that Sox fans would love to forget.

I may be a fan of the Mets Rivals, but my thoughts and prayers go out to Gary and his family. Let's hope for a speedy recovery.
