New York Lawmakers Push For Harder DWI Laws
State Senator Hugh Farley as well Assemblymen Jim Tedisco and Steve Mclaughlin are trying to put more teeth in New York State's DWI laws. These guys are pushing hard for a new law that basically says "three strikes and you're out" when it comes to DWI arrests. Currently people with 5 , 6 and in a recent story 8 DWI's still drive on conditional licenses, or even worse they drive without a license at all.
Under the proposed new law if passed, a driver convicted of 3 DWI's will lose their right to drive in New York State for life. Personally, I think allowing 3 DWI's is too many. What are your thoughts on this issue. Let us know.
