There’s been a virus going around that’s been killing some livestock on farms across New York State.

There may be some relief coming very soon to help slow down the spreading of the virus. It’s called Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea, and it’s been affecting piglets and hogs, which can hurt some farmers’ livelihoods.

In the story from WNYT, the approval of the vaccine has been expedited by the New York State Department Of Agriculture And Markets, and should be available sometime next month.

There are a lot of farms around the Capital Region, and hopefully this virus hasn’t had much affect on their livestock.
