Governor Cuomo recently laid out a plan to help college grads settle in to their own homes in Upstate New York.

According to nyup.com, the Associated Press is reporting the program '...would offer subsidized low-interest loans and down payment assistance to recent graduates who want to settle upstate.' The goal of the plan is to encourage skilled grads to settle upstate, which has seen a population decline in recent years.

I guess you could just think of this as a first time home buyer program for college grads. This coupled with Cuomo's plan for free tuition for some New York residents, it could really benefit students a lot to continue their education at the college level in the near future. Imagine not having to pay college tuition (No loans right?) and then getting an assist to buy your first home. It almost sounds too good to be true, and someone will have to foot the bill somewhere, right?

We'll have to see how these play out.
