From the Ferrari in Ferris Bueller's Day Off to the Delorean in the Back to the Future movies, sometimes a movie has a car in it and sometimes the car is an unspoken character. That's the case with the National Lampoon franchise, but did you know you could find the Wagon Queen right here in the 518?

As far back as I could remember, my Uncle has always turned cars into a hobby of his. He's had this beautiful cherry red TR since before I was born, his Ferrari (which he no longer has) was probably the first fancy sports car I'd ever seen in person so when he was looking for a new car, I couldn't imagine what he would be bringing home.

Imagine my surprise when he fell in love with this 1987 Ford Country Squire. To him, though, he just saw opportunity. If you've been out and about in Lake George Village, I'd be very surprised if you haven't seen the Lake George Family Truckster. Next time you see it, take a look at the details: there's a dog leash hanging from the back, a mock Aunt Edna on the roof and old-style bumper stickers from local sights and sounds.

Styled after the National Lampoon Wagon Queen, my Uncle hasn't just reproduced the vehicle but turned it almost into a moving rock n' roll hall of fame. You'll see autographs of the who's who of Woodstock fame covering the doors, local artist signatures but a space saved on the driver's side for Chevy Chase if we could ever get him to sign it.

Take a look at it, take a picture with it & find the car's page on Facebook to tag yourself! While you're on his page, he'll also keep you up to date with some great local music events while you're spending your day on the lake. Have you ever seen this car driving around?
