Maybe you knew that NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Jeff Gordon had a place to hang his helmet in New York. In 2007, Gordon bought a condo in Manhattan but now it's up for sale.

According to an article in the New York Times, Gordon, a four-time NASCAR national champion, paid just under $10 million for the apartment at 15 Central Park West in Manhattan. Like most of NASCAR's drivers, Gordon's primary residence is in North Carolina.

Gordon and his wife Ingrid have made numerous upgrades to the New York apartment and now feel the time is right to sell. The asking price is $30 million. You'll likely need a mortgage.

Gordon will be making his 700th career start in Saturday night's Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. He will be starting 8th. Kurt Busch set a track record in qualifying and will start from the pole. Here is the complete lineup.
