NASCAR Star Michael Waltrip To Appear On Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Two time Daytona 500 Champion Michael Waltrip will be making a special guest star appearance on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on Monday night.

The December 17 episode of the show is a holiday-themed edition and features Waltrip making a special appearance in two segments.

Waltrip together with staff from his Michael Waltrip Racing team joined with ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition building and design team to surprise a family in Lincolnton, North Carolina that has fostered more than 30 children and adopted a family of five siblings.  The team along with community volunteers and local builder Bellamy Homes built the home in just seven days.

Michael Waltrip Racing competes in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series fielding Clint Bowyer’s No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota, Martin Truex Jr.’s No. 56 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota and the Aaron’s Dream Machine No. 55 driven by Mark Martin, Brian Vickers and Waltrip. The three teams won three times, earned five poles and finished second, 11th and 15th in owner points in 2012.
