Even though the Daytona 500 is still just about a month away, some of NASCAR's top stars will be racing at Daytona International Speedway this weekend.  It's the start of the Grand-Am sports car racing season and the opening race is the Rolex 24.

Fifty-nine cars are slated to start in the twice around the clock endurance event on the road course at Daytona. NASCAR stock car drivers Juan Pablo Montoya, Jamie McMurray, Clint Bowyer, Michael Waltrip and Marcos Ambrose will be part of this weekend's race.

Teammates from Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates swept the front row in qualifying.  Scott Pruett set fast time and will be joined by Montoya in the No. 01 car.  Scott Dixon was second quick in qualifying.  McMurray will join Dixon on the outside pole in the No. 02 BMW Riley.

This is Bowyer's first Rolex 24 race.  He will be co-driving in the the slower GT class for his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car owner Michael Waltrip.
