My Favorite 1-Year Old Could Use Your Help
It's hard enough as an adult to be diagnosed with something like diabetes, but imagine it happening before you can say more than "kitty" or "cracker."
That's how it is for my 1-year old BFF, Grayson. You can read his full story here in my introductory blog of what's been going on. But the short of the long, he's been diagnosed with viral onset type 1 juvenile diabetes.
His parents are working diligently on steadying his glucose levels and being very aware of his behavior to determine any issues, to avoid the last few weeks repeating. There's really only so much time you want to spend in the hospital, especially with such a tiny little one.
Now, knowing what's been going on and wanting to help in any way possible, there is an upcoming JDRF walk on May 1st on the UAlbany campus. The team Grayson's Mama has created for us is, The Sugar Heroes, while we've already reached our monetary fundraising goal, it would be amazing to have your support. Every dollar counts and goes to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
If you'd like to join in the walk itself, please do. The details are below and thank you so much for your support!
The JDRF Walk is on May 1st at the UAlbany Campus
