To quote the Elvis Presley, "thank you, thank you very much". Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is now "former" President Hosni Mubarak.

Mubarak is literally out of the country as we speak and Egyptians are celebrating after 18 days of protests. I am personally fatigued by all of this and after all of the false alarms am finding the real departure a let down.

It was almost as unimpressive as watching Geraldo Rivera on TV all those years ago harping about opening Al Capone's vault for a month. Then when the show came on and he did it , the vault was empty.

Thanks Geraldo for wasting a month of my life.

The military is now in charge in Egypt while they try to figure it all out. For now though Cairo, Egypt looks like Bourbon Street in New Orleans on Fat Tuesday minus the booze and beads.
