If you love the snow, it looks like the storm we got Thursday has jump-started winter in the Capital Region!

Just when you thought we might go through another winter with below average snowfall, it looks like Mother Nature has decided to pick up the snowfall pace. After many areas of the Capital Region got a foot or more of snow on Thursday, we have more snow in the forecast this weekend.

According to the Weather Channel, we will see periods of snow tonight with another 1 to 3 inches of fresh accumulation. We will get a little breather Saturday, then on Sunday it could be another big event: a big Noreaster is expected to hit New England and Upstate New York. At this point it looks like we will not get the worst of that storm as we may see another 3 inches of snow. But, a lot could happen between now and Sunday! (Fingers crossed if you love to ski, right?)

Either way, it's nice to finally see a good blast of winter and snow in the Capital Region. This is one of the reasons I love living here, and in the Northeast in general. We live for the change in seasons, and even when the snow gets a little old - it's still nice to look at!
