One week after millions of another brand of pickup trucks were recalled, another popular brand is also asking for consumers to return their vehicles to be fixed.Last week there were millions of Ford pickup trucks recalled after a seat belt malfunction. According to CNBC, this time General Motors is recalling more than a million of their larger pickup trucks and SUVs. They claim that their power-assisted steering tends to briefly shut down.

The recall goes back to the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups. Also being recalled are Chevy Tahoes and Suburbans. Cadillac Escalades and GMC Yukon SUVs are also included in the recalls.

The power steering can cause a hesitation due to a voltage drop in low speed turns. General Motors said the failure would increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will have to update the power steering software at no cost to the consumers. A date has not been set to begin the recall.
